Abstract
The Program Ethnomathematics is a research program on the generation, individual and social organization and transmission and diffusion of knowledge. Those objectives include the traditional disciplines of the sciences of cognition (knowledge generation), of epistemology (organization of knowledge) and of history, sociology, politics and education (transmission and dissemination of knowledge). But differently from the traditional approach, the Program Ethnomathematics analyses these disciplines in an integrated, transdisciplinarian and transcultural way, with the theoretical support of the concept of cycle of knowledge.
