En este artículo, presento las ideas del profesor Ubiratan D’Ambrosio sobre la Etnomatemática, susobjetivos, su metodología, la relación entre Etnomatemática y Educación Matemática, la enseñanza delas matemáticas en aulas multiculturales, y sus comentarios sobre una caracterización de los trabajosde investigación en Etnomatemática realizados en Colombia. In this Article, I present the ideas of Professor Ubiratan D'Ambrosio on ethnomathematics, its objectives, itsmethodology, the relation between Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education, the teaching ofmathematics in multicultural classroom, and his comments on a characterization of the investigation worksin Ethnomathematics made in Colombia.
